BIKING TO CU CHI TUNNEL
BIKING TO CU CHI TUNNEL
( FULL DAY)
Highlights
Cu Chi tunnels, one of the most famous battlegrounds of the Vietnam War.
Today it is one of the country’s prime tourist attractions.
Sometimes, these spots seem to be memorials to wartime propaganda as much as to the war itself.
Tour Details: Cycling 30-50 km
08:00 Pick up at your hotel and transfer by van for an hour to rural Cu Chi.
09:00 Start to bike on a dirt track through villages where farmers of Cu Chi go about their daily lives, making bamboo baskets, bamboo furniture, and collecting rubber latex. You will also see big family workshops making rice paper. This land was not only a hiding place, but also fighting and living area during the Vietnam War from 1965 to 1975.
Today, Cu Chi District has become very popular with tourists coming by bus, but not often by bicycle. Biking on country roads and single track trails through villages is the ultimate way to see the “Iron Land”, where Vietnam soldier lived and fought the US army.
